FEATURED VIDEO: Here’s a great new “Ant-Man” TV Spot.
Heroic Hollywood has some rumored details of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and Ezra Miller’s The Flash cameos in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” (potential spoilers at link), as well as info on Aquaman’s relationship to “Suicide Squad.”
Star Wars Episode 7 News has some sneak peaks at a couple new characters and a couple of familiar faces that will return for “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens.”
Forest Whitaker has joined the cast of “Star Wars: Rogue One.”
Whitaker is also in talks to join “The Crow” reboot, which is also looking for a new lead, after Jack Huston (“Boardwalk Empire”) dropped out. The two top contenders at the moment are said to be Nicholas Hoult (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”) and Jack O’Connell (“Unbroken”).
“Fantastic Four”: Thing
I don’t know how to feel about this full frontal Thing from “Fantastic Four.” But I guess this clears up a lot of things for Brodie from “Mallrats.”
Rupert Wyatt (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”) has signed on to direct Channing Tatum in the “X-Men” spinoff “Gambit.”
Tom Holland is showing off his skills to prove why he should play Spider-Man.
Boston Herald has revealed these details from Paul Feig’s “Ghostbusters”:
Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy play a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. Flash forward a few years and Wiig lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia U. (Like the original, the story takes place in New York City, even though it’s being shot in Boston.) Which is pretty sweet, until her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Wiig reunites with McCarthy and the other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers, and she gets some sweet revenge when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.
The first set photos from “Ghostbusters” have made their way online. ComicBook.com has also collected a bunch of other new images and videos from the set.
This Instagram post seems to confirm that Hugh Jackman will appear as Wolverine in “X-Men: Apocalypse.”
In kinda related X-news, once again, it is being rumored that “Wolverine 3″ will be based on the “Old Man Logan” storyline from the comics.
Hawkgirl: Ciara Renée
SpoilerTV is reporting that The CW is planning a Hawkgirl series starring Ciara Renée, who will of course play the character first on “Legends of Tomorrow.” [UPDATE: These rumors have been debunked.]
“Jurassic World” had the biggest opening weekend ever, with $208.8 million, just beating out “The Avengers.” And Marvel’s response was perfect!
“Jurassic World” star Bryce Dallas Howard has stated that she really wants to be in a Marvel movie and would love to play Captain Marvel.
And just to round out our trifecta of awesome “Jurassic World” stories, watch this funny video of Chris Pratt getting pranked by dinosaurs (warning: language).
In other awesome prank news, watch Arnold Schwarzenegger prank fans as The Terminator. It’s for charity!
